Georgia Election Results
The closely watched presidential election is far from the only thing on ballots in Georgia. New terms for Congress and the Georgia Legislature will be decided, two metro Atlanta counties will vote on transit referendums, and voters will choose candidates in a host of city and county races across Georgia.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution relies on The Associated Press to call the winner of the presidential race and nearly 5,000 other races across the United States, including state races in Georgia. I am running for DeKalb County Commissioner, District 3, because our community deserves a strong advocate who understands our challenges and will fight for the change we need. Growing up, I witnessed my mother struggle with systemic obstacles and discrimination. I watched her face these and other challenges alone as a single mother, without an advocate in her corner.

DeKalb County Commission District 3 includes Atlanta’s East Lake and Kirkwood neighborhoods and Panthersville. To see a district map, click here. The District 3 seat is currently vacant. The previous commissioner, Larry Johnson, resigned to run for DeKalb County CEO. He lost to former commissioner Lorraine Cochran-Johnson. The election for the District 3 seat will be held on Nov. 5.
